This year's Orange Blossom Festival features a variety of associated events running from 19 August - 24 September centred around Zest Fest on Sunday 27 August which will be held at its new home at Bella Vista Farm.

Soroptimist Public Speaking

Local high school students will have the chance to showcase their public speaking skills as part of the 8th Annual Public Speaking Competition held by Soroptimist International of The Hills.

Soroptimist International of The Hills is a not for profit women's service club, part of an International organisation that promotes better education and living conditions for women.

Voices in Bloom Final

The Australian Brewery

Voices in Bloom is a Public Speaking Competition for high school students living in The Hills. The competition comprises of two categories for Junior students (years 7 - 9) and Senior students (years 10 - 12).

In both sections first prize is $300, 2nd prize is $200 and 3rd prize is $100. The competition is sponsored by The Brewery at Rouse Hill and is judged by a panel of Toastmasters.

Rotary Cross Country Challenge

The Rotary Club of Castle Hill is proud to present their 2017 Cross Country Challenge.  All funds raised from this event will be donated to local charities to help reduce and prevent domestic violence in The Hills. Challenge distances include 10.5km, 7.5km and a 2.8km event.

Zest Fest

The Hills BIGGEST community event of the year returns to a new location at Bella Vista Farm on Sunday 27 August.

Featuring special guest performance from Lee Kernaghan, finals of the OBF Zest Quest, appearances from Dirt Girl, Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam, brand new O-Zone youth zone, kids passport challenge and spectacular finale show.

Bring your furry friend for a wonderful walk through Bella vista Farm!

We will have two walks on the day, registration commences from 8am and the first walk will be 9am, our second walk will be held at 11:30am, the walk will involve some mild to moderate exercise and attendees are welcome to pace themselves as necessary. It will involve some fun exercise demonstrations by local fitness groups, dog obstacles and a beautiful scenic walk in Bella Vista Farm not to mention free doggie give aways and treats, we look forward to seeing you on the day!

The Seniors Dance

A social outing for older people with old style dancing, complete with music from the era and dance boards (a la 1930's & 1940's). The Seniors Dance provides a relevant social outlet for people who might otherwise be alone and invites everyone to come along and have some fun with lunch and afternoon tea provided.

Bonsai Exhibition

This year’s Bonsai Exhibition had something for everyone and includes a great display and well stocked Market Place with bonsai for sale. The exhibition will also include a build-a-bonsai workshop for the young and young at heart plus a clinic where attendees can bring their own trees for advice and help with improvement and maintenance.

Castle Hill Off Road Radio Control Car Club - 2017 NSW State Titles

Fred Caterson Reserve - Radio Control Car Area

Castle Hill Radio Controlled Car Club will be hosting the 2017 NSW State Titles for 1/10th electric vehicles. Castle Hill Radio Control Car Club was started in 1985 as “a small track in back of a hobby shop in Castle Hill. A group of people formed a committee and approached Baulkham Hills Council for some land to build a track. It took 12 months and 3 moves before the final location in Fred Caterson Reserve.

Orange Blossom Festival Annual Art Awards

Castle Hill Art Society celebrates their 50th Anniversary in 2017 and has been a major event on the Orange Blossom Festival program since the Festival’s inception with their Annual Art Awards for adults' and children's paintings and sculptures.  This exhibition provides a great opportunity to buy original art from local artists.

OBF Preview Theatre Performance - Ladies in Lavender

Pavilion Theatre - Castle Hill Showground

This fabulous local community theatre group provides Hills residents with real drama and comedy productions in a real raked set theatre. Their Orange Blossom Festival preview performance of "Ladies in Lavender" celebrates their 51st year in the Castle Hill Showground complex. This performance will be held on Wednesday 20 September at 8:15pm. Tickets for the preview cost $15pp.

The Norwest Community Festival is an annual, free family event with food, rides and live entertainment and is this year being relocated to Bella Vista Farm. The event is sponsored by Mulpha Norwest, the developers of Norwest Business Park, Bella Vista Waters and The Lakes. Irish Fun Day

Castle Hill Heritage Park

On 24th September the Heritage Park Committee we will host an Irish Fun Day from 11 am to 2 pm to celebrate the large number of Irish convicts who worked here and set off the first Australian rebellion on the Castle Hill Government Farm.
