Run for the Hills is Castle Hill Rotary’s major annual fundraiser and a proud feature of the Hills Shire Council’s Orange Blossom Festival.

Now in its 9th year, the event is a celebration of our region’s heritage, community spirit, and commitment to local well-being.

This inclusive fun run is set in the historic surrounds of Bella Vista Farm and invites participation across all ages and fitness levels - offering 5km, 8km, and 12km options through the picturesque farm and surrounding parklands.

It is a day that combines movement, community connection, and celebration.

In 2024, the event welcomed over 600 participants, supported by more than 50 volunteers and 20 local market stalls.

With support from Council, the event continues to grow in both scale and community impact.

In 2025, Castle Hill Rotary aims to raise $100,000, with all funds being distributed to local Hills-based charities and causes. These donations directly support grassroot services making a real difference in our community.

As well as the run itself, the day includes:

  • Community and market stalls
  • Live warm-ups and entertainment
  • Local food vendors
  • And a strong presence from schools, youth groups, and service clubs.

Run for the Hills is not just a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of who we are as a community. It reflects the values of the Orange Blossom Festival— bringing people together to honour our local history, landscape, and collective future.
